Incredible to be with them, among them.  Many of the lemur species are endangered, several critically, as Madagascar is the ONLY PLACE IN THE WORLD that they exist in the wild.

There are 103 species of lemurs in Madagascar, 91% are in danger of extinction. There is a IMAX movie out now about the Lemurs of Madagascar, here is a ABC excerpt/trailer, worth watching, 5 minutes. Tells the story.  ABC Nightline: Exploring the 'Island of Lemurs: Madagascar'

Lemur not seen but heard....The Call of the Indri
Although seeing the lemurs was an amazing experience, the Indri evaded us by sight BUT we had the express opportunity to hear them, really listening, in stillness, to their eerie call. I tried to tape it but it did not come out well, listen to the ABC Nightline excerpt above and hear them!
